What A Year! | Our Reflection on 2022

As a largely remote team, we always feel it’s important to get some time away together to share ideas, strategies, and product development, and what better place to be prior to the Sunny season than where city meets surf; the Portuguese coastal city of Porto. This short but sweet city-break allowed us to not only spend some quality time with each other, soaking up the sun, sea and the sights (and plenty pastel de natas!) but was a treasurable opportunity to discuss and plan the year ahead of us. 

As you may know, we have spent this last year raising £10,000 for The Wave Project. Throughout the year, we have organised and hosted an array of in-person and online fundraising events, from a charity car-wash to an online raffle, to help us reach our goal. I think it’s safe to say, we were absolutely blown away with the amount of love and support received as a result of our fundraising activity, and are beyond stoked to be able to say we hit our target! 

In amongst the Summer buzz, charity work, product releases and brand partnerships, we have also been busy opening several pop-up stores throughout the year. As per every-year, we opened up at the Chelsea Flower Show, Spirit of Christmas, and of course, Marlow during the festive period. Throughout the summer high season we found ourselves in Fowey, which was a great success and hopefully we will be back soon! 

This year, we have also been lucky enough to collaborate and work alongside an array of amazing people. In May, we launched our sellout Lara’s Lobsters range with longtime family-friend and artist, Lara Pelling. In the Summer, we collaborated with our good friends at Prawn on the Lawn and released our POTL x Jam shirt… another sellout product! We have also worked alongside some incredible brands and business through our charity mission and social competitions. We would like to take this opportunity to say a HUGE thank all these wonderful people who helped us make this year so great!
